cPPA with KGHM for electricity from the Projekt Solartechnik solar farm

Elektrownia słoneczna Żuki wybudowana przez Projekt Solartechnik z której energia dzięki umowie cPPA dostarczana będzie KGHM Polska Miedź S.A

For KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., a leading producer of refined copper and silver, which is betting on energy self-sufficiency with #OZE, we will supply green energy from the Żuki solar power plant in the Turek municipality (Wielkopolskie Voivodeship) under a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (cPPA). Our experts are responsible for the end-to-end process: from the execution of the construction projects, through their implementation, to the energisation of the 5.2 MW farm.

Its construction is already underway. We will use nearly 10,000 Jinko Solar photovoltaic modules. Inverters and transformer stations will be supplied by Huawei. The cable connection for connecting the substation to the power supply will be provided by Elgór + Hansen. Ergy will be the business partner to take care of the farm management.

The cPPA market in Poland is still in its infancy, and there are currently no ready market standards or templates for the rapid implementation of such agreements. This makes us all the more pleased to sign a physical PPA in a Pay-As-Produced structure; such agreements are currently much less common than financial PPAs. Developing a model of cooperation between our companies required an expert approach and commitment from both sides.

We thank KGHM and all those involved in the project.
