Developers of renewable energy projects in Poland are currently facing the challenge of limited connection capacity and changing zoning regulations. These, and other topical issues, were raised during the discussion “Cycling in Tandem: the economics of battery co-location in Poland.” It resounded with the conclusion that if we want to smoothly carry out the energy transition, the possibility of building photovoltaic farms, wind power plants and energy storage must be expanded. The industry hopes that recent legislative changes regarding direct lines, cable pooling and guarantees of origin will create conditions for optimizing the use of limited connection capacities.
We attended the meeting at the invitation of our business partner Aurora Energy Research. The event provided an excellent platform for discussions with representatives of the banking sector, developers and commercial companies in Warsaw.
